About me

I built my first brand when I was 16, and shortly after pursued a BS in Communication Design at Cal State Monterey Bay where I spent 4 years studying the principles of design, the psychology behind human computer interaction, and web development. I graduated Cum Laude with Distinction in my emphasis while interning as the primary junior designer for my Cal State’s Communications department.

After years of working in print design (with every medium from environmental signage to clothing and brochures) I set my sights on the fast paced world of Silicon Valley. I spent the next few years working for a start up, and became an expert in everything and anything I could get my hands on.

Now with 12+ years of experience building brands, apps, and products, countless re-brands, app icons, logos, and presentations–I bring a breadth of knowledge to every client I work with.

Currently I spend my nine-to-five designing consumer apps for Yipitdata. After hours I love working with other brands and clients of all backgrounds. I find joy in helping people tell their stories and building a brand that suits their industry and goals.

When I’m not at my desk, I’m spending time with my husband and dogs in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (just outside Portland, OR). Always active, I grew up in the Northern California Mountains-backpacking, hiking, skiing, and swimming. The only sport I follow religiously is motorcycle racing (I learned to ride my own dirt bike when I was 11) and if I’m not watching MotoGP, I’m probably working on my latest home improvement project.

My design-first approach helps clients communicate their company values, personality, and goals to stand out in their respective industries.

A successful brand should be pretty, memorable,
and
strategically sound.
